Carisa Kelly will be a part of International Production Design Week on a panel with fellow costume and production designers.
"Learning From Each Other: Production Designers × Costume Designers." This panel is part of a broader conversation on "Collaboration as Authorship: Women Redefining Visual Storytelling in Film and Television."
Conceived by panel moderator Deirdra Govan (Vice President, United Scenic Artist, Local 829 IATSE) to offer thought leadership and creative insight, celebrating women's agency in shaping cinematic worlds. It will explore how collaboration between Production and Costume Designers redefines authorship in visual storytelling. Fostering a robust, engaging, and forward-looking dialogue on creative partnership, equity, and leadership, while also modeling what true collaboration in design can look like across film and television.

Each person is given 2 minutes to speak, the first part of my time was to read the great costume designer Kasia Walicka Maimone speech about the importance of the garment district.
Carisa Kelly alongside countless other costume and fashion folk, many from the New York Fashion Workforce Development Collation as we testified in person, via zoom, and emails to urge stronger protections inside the MSMX plan for the garment district.
